Taco Bell turns to Snapchat to unveil new Doritos Locos offering

Earlier this week, Taco Bell's chief marketing officer Chris Brandt said the next Doritos Locos Taco will be launched in early May.

The brand is turning to Snapchat to unveil what that flavor will be. On Sunday, prior to the MTV Movie Awards, Taco Bell will use Snapchat Stories to create a "snap-by-snap live film" that will reveal the next DLT flavor, as well as its specific launch date.

According to a news release, this is the first ever Snapchat film created by a brand. 

Snaps will begin Sunday morning. The full film will be complete, and official information on the DLT will be available by the start of the MTV Movie Awards, at 9 p.m. ET that day.

The film is a romantic comedy created for Taco Bell fans using actors and Director Jason Zada.

Taco Bell first joined Snapchat more than one year ago.
