Nestlé Toll House Cafés by Chip recently opened two stores in Baybrook Mall in Friendswood, Texas. The newest cafés mark the second and third locations in the mall and are among nearly 20 in the Houston market, over 30 in Texas and more than 150 system-wide, according to a company press release. In addition to its cookies, cookie cakes and Nescafe Milano coffees, the cafés also specialize in smoothies, brownies, ice cream and other treats. Franchise owner Imtiaz Karowalia launched his first café at Baybrook Mall in 2015, in the center of the food court,
"Baybrook shoppers absolutely loved when we opened that café, and since this is such a huge mall, we wanted to make it as convenient as possible for them to grab a cookie, have a relaxing treat or simply enjoy a cup of premium coffee," Karowalia said.
The third café is owned by a new franchise operator, Mahmood Qureshi. This café is located in the new outdoor expansion of the mall, near the cinema.
All three of the Baybrook cafés offer a bakery display, featuring fresh-baked and custom-created desserts, Wi-Fi and digital menu boards displayed on LED screens.
"Imtiaz is one of our newest franchisees, and we're so glad to see him flourish at Baybrook," said Shawnon Bellah, chief operating officer of Crest Foods Inc, the franchisor of Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip. "We're also pleased to welcome Mahmood to the family. We like to think of our cafés as a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life, and a great meeting spot for friends, families and on-the-go shoppers. And that's exactly what Mahmood's and Imtiaz's cafés offer."
All three cafés are located on Level 1. One is near Forever 21, another near Star Cinema Grill and the third near Sears.
Café hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
