Amazon expands food delivery service

Washington, D.C. Amazon Prime members can now get deliveries from 150 restaurants, including Osteria Morini, Bolt Burgers, Pizza Mart and Maketto, according to a press release.

"Who doesn't love being a Prime member and all the benefits that come with it?" Jesse Hiney, general manager of Osteria Morini DC, said in the release. "Now my customers will be able to get our delicious pasta delivered right to their doors. Sounds dangerous in a delicious way."

Accessed through the Amazon and Prime Now mobile apps or online the service allows Prime members to choose their restaurants and meals and track their orders in real time with a guaranteed one-hour delivery window.

"The hustle and bustle in the nation's capital can make it difficult to try all the amazing restaurants around town," Gus Lopez, general manager of Amazon Restaurants, said in the release. "Now, Amazon Restaurants makes it easy to skip traffic and get delicious meals from top restaurants conveniently delivered to your office or home in an hour or less."
