Arby's tips its Red Hat to suppliers

Arby's Restaurant Group Inc. honored nine suppliers with its Red Hat Supplier Achievement Awards during its worldwide franchise convention held recently in Phoenix.
Arby's, along with ARCOP Inc. and Strategic Sourcing Group Co-op LLC, recognized suppliers that have provided superior levels of service and support to the Arby's restaurant system.
Among those honored include:
- A.J. Antunes & Co., an equipment resource that has been an Arby's partner for more than 10 years;
- Ample Industries Inc., an Arby's supplier for more than 14 years, offering product innovation, quality assurance and cost savings;
- A supplier since 2001, Gehl Foods Inc., was also recognized for its product innovation, quality assurance and cost savings;
- Highland Banking Company was given an award for its role in creating the Arby's Roastburger sandwiches;
- Mindshare Technologies Inc. exceeded expectations with the development of Arby's Promise Check, a customer service program that provides information on operational performances from each restaurant;
- Systems Services of American Inc. was given an achievement award in the distribution center category and ranked first in nine key performance areas set by ARCOP;
- Summit Energy Services was recognized for working to educate the Arby's system on energy procurement;
- TriMark Foodcraft was given a nod for exceptional customer service, follow-through and dedication to the Arby's franchise and company operators;
- Veg-Fresh Farms was given a Red Hat award for helping to launch Arby's firsts national produce program.
"All of these partners have performed above and beyond expectations this year," said David Cox, president, ARCOP, Arby’s national non-profit food service supply chain organization. “Close collaboration with our supply chain partners is critical in helping to position Arby’s as one of the leading fast food innovators."
