Auntie Anne's, Cinnabon parent company names supply chain officer

Focus Brands Inc., parent company of Carvel, Cinnabon, Schlotzsky's, Moe's Southwest Grill, Auntie Anne's and McAlister's Deli, has named Barry Moullet as its new chief supply chain officer.

In this newly created role, Moullet will oversee all supply chain, distribution, procurement and logistics initiatives for the entire Focus Brands organization, which is in the process of aligning under a single supply chain umbrella.

"We partnered with Barry and relied on his 30 years of supply chain experience to help define our new supply chain infrastructure," said CEO Russ Umphenour. "He was intrigued and engaged with our brands, so it was a natural transition to bring him on board to build this new function from the ground up."

Focus Brands is blending the supply chain function into a centralized office, based in Atlanta where Focus and four of the brands are headquartered. Each brand will still have their needs serviced, but centralizing the supply chain function will allow them to leverage the overall volume in an effort to obtain improved pricing and increase service levels, according to a news release.

Prior to starting a private consultation practice, Moullet served as the chief supply chain officer with Darden Restaurants and has held several other leadership roles within the restaurant industry working with and for foodservice companies such as Burger King, KFC Corporation and The Pillsbury Company.
