VeriSolutions and AT&T have created an automated system to help restaurant brands comply with food-safety guidelines. VeriSolutions' platform features a temperature-monitoring solution using AT&T IoT technology to gain insight into equipment, including:
 •         AT&T global SIM-embedded sensors for temperature and humidity data collection.
 •         A data analytics hub that collects and aggregates sensor information.
 •         A sensor-monitoring user interface with diagnostics and provisioning, alerts, notifications and activity reports.
A news release said the new feature gives employees the ability to act immediately when sensors indicate something is wrong, thus allowing them to save time, money and prevent a food safety issue. It alerts when there are problems with refrigeration and spoiled food and automates compliance of what has been a manual process for hazard analysis and critical control points, known as the HACCP system.
"VeriSolutions has simplified temperature logging and reporting," said Georgia-based White Columns Country Club's Executive Chef Josh Carden. "I show the health inspector daily reports with readings in regular intervals. She thinks it is spectacular. I love that it saves me several hours per week in logging."
