Bojangles' has begun a national search for a CMO to replace Randy Poindexter, who will retire in August after 28 years with the brand. The brand sold a few months ago to Durational Capital Management LP and The Jordan Company LP. During his tenure with the company, Poindexter was instrumental in helping to create ad campaigns and the "It's Bo Time!" slogan that the brand has used for the past nine years, a news release said.

Most recently, he oversaw a 10-year, $2.85 million agreement with the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority for naming rights to the Bojangles' Coliseum and Ovens Auditorium campus, now known as the Bojangles' Entertainment Complex.

"We are indebted to Randy for helping to build Bojangles' great brand for the last 28 years," said the brand's CEO, Jose Armario, in the release.

"The tremendous impact of Randy's leadership at our company is irrefutable. The Bojangles' brand is adored by fans around the world, and that is a direct result of the guiding hand of Randy Poindexter."

Prior to joining Bojangles', Poindexter held positions with KFC and Chart House Inc. where he was marketing  director for its Burger King franchised restaurants in Virginia and Houston, Texas.

"Bojangles' has a dynamic new ownership group, a new energetic CEO and a new vision for the future," Poindexter said in the release. "Now just feels like the right time for me to announce my retirement and help prepare the brand for the exciting future that's ahead."

Bojangles' has hired Elliot and Associates to begin a national search for a chief marketing officer for the chain, which has nearly 760 stores, primarily in the Southeastern U.S.
