Bojangles' moves in for a slice of the 'Pi'

March 11, 2019

QSRs are moving to take a slice of the action on Thursday, March 14, otherwise known simply as Pi Day. The 'holiday' pays tribute to the mathematical constant 3.14, denoting the ratio of a circle's radius to its circumference, and has been taken over by pizza purveyors nationwide.

Now QSR brands, like Bojangles', are increasingly moving in on the Pi.

This Thursday, customers at Bojangles' can get three very un-Pi-like, rectangular-shaped sweet potato pies for the holiday-appropriate price of $3.14, according to a press release.

"Bojangles' is all about flavor and fun," Bojangles' Senior Vice President of Marketing Randy Poindexter said in the release. "This promotion is a wonderful opportunity for our brand to have some fun with what has quickly become a popular occasion."

The chain has also launched a Twitter-based Pi-themed math question test via @Bojangles1977 where customers or just the math-inclined can challenge their math knowledge in the runup to National Pi Day. Correct answers will yield the people behind them chances at a drawing for a Bojangles' gift card.
