A Burger King unit in Thunder Bay, Ontario, was the latest in Canada to shift to the company’s 20/20 design, a global initiative that features a contemporary theme balanced by various elements evoking an industrial look. It is the fourth 20/20 location in Canada, following Waterloo, Windsor and Kamloops, Ontario.
The design, which was unveiled in the U.S. last spring, interprets Burger King’s “grill-centric” experience. Thunder Bay offers self-seating options, metallic finishes, black accents, ceramic tile and rustic wood and concrete finishes.
The King's new home in Thunder Bay also is equipped with the new Duke Flexible Batch Broiler, maximizing cooking flexibility while reducing operational and energy costs, along with high-efficiency T8 lighting. Other features include liquid crystal display (LDC) menu screens, an enhanced drive-thru experience and 24-hour operations.
"We are proud that Thunder Bay was selected as the first Northern Ontario location to showcase the new 20/20 look," said Raj Varman, general manager, Burger King Canada. "Located right in the heart of the city, our new restaurant is a perfect spot to enjoy a burger and catch up with family and friends."
