Burger King promotes smoothies during Labor Day weekend

To help celebrate the Labor Day holiday weekend, Burger King Restaurants will offer the brand's new Real Fruit Smoothies for $1 from Aug. 31 to Sept. 3.

Guests can choose from three flavors: Strawberry Banana, Tropical Mango or the new Raspberry variety.

BK's Real Fruit Smoothies are made fresh-to-order with real fruit, juices and low-fat yogurt.

"Since their introduction this spring, the BK Real Fruit Smoothies have been incredibly popular," said Flavia Faugeres, executive vice president and global chief marketing officer, Burger King Worldwide. "We are very excited to unveil our new Raspberry Real Fruit Smoothie, offering three great menu items at a great price for the long holiday weekend."

Typically served in 12-, 16- and 20-oz. servings, the suggested retail price of a BK Real Fruit Smoothie is $2.29. The $1 promotion will be available at participating restaurants.
