C-nario launches digital advertising in Singapore McDonald's
August 14, 2007
TEL AVIV — McDonald's Singapore, the national franchise of the fast-food chain, has launched a digital-signage technology program developed and deployed by C-nario, the company announced.
In the initial phase of the Asia-wide program, 67 out of 127 Singapore restaurants have been outfitted with interactive digital-signage technology.
Diners can interact with the display by sending text messages from their mobile phones to an array of 42-inch screens deployed throughout the chain's restaurants. Guests also can engage one another in chat-like conversations, respond to content and generate classified ads that run on a news-like ticker. Additionally, on weekends, sports fans can watch streamed sporting events.
C-nario's digital-signage technology features advertising rotated at intervals. Touchscreen kiosks linked to POS will issue coupons to eligible customers, who are notified via the digital screens.
