Carl's Jr. and Hardee's have improved their classic chocolate chip ice cream sandwich offering by adding hand-scooped premium vanilla ice cream served between two Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chip cookies.
The hand-scooped chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich is now available at all Carl's Jr. and Hardee's restaurants.
"Carl's Jr. and Hardee's are in the unique position of being able to make dessert items with real, hand-scooped ice cream since we bring in tubs of hard-packed ice cream to make our shakes and malts every day," said Brad Haley, chief marketing officer for Carl's Jr. and Hardee's. "With the success of the hand-scooped Oreo ice cream sandwich last year, we worked on other great ice cream sandwich ideas and using chocolate chip cookies was a natural. Since we had very good vanilla ice cream, we wanted to pair it with equally good chocolate chip cookies, so we teamed up with Otis Spunkmeyer and the result is delicious."
Also, for a limited time, guests can get the new ice cream sandwich free with the purchase of any Memphis BBQ Burger combo. Guests can also receive a free ice cream sandwich with the purchase of a Carl's Jr. or Hardee's gift card.
The new dessert item can be purchased individually for $1.69. Guests can also enjoy two Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chip cookies (without the ice cream) for $1. Prices may vary.
