Casey's breakfast pizza returns in time for football season

"College football fans don't just show up for kickoff. They show up for the traditions, the tailgates and the food that brings everyone together," Tom Brennan, chief merchandising officer at Casey's, said in the release. "As a pizza leader, we're constantly tracking how consumer habits are evolving. Our new 'Tailgate Tracker' shows just how early Saturdays start for the most loyal fan bases, creating more opportunities for Casey's to deliver the craveable, high-quality food our guests count on and keep them fueled all game day long."

The company's Tailgate Tracker survey, which polled 1,201 students and alumni in August, found 35% of fans are awake before 8 a.m. for 12 noon kickoffs. The survey revealed fans of The Ohio State University wake up the earliest for noon games at 7:52 a.m., followed by the University of Iowa at 7:58 a.m.
