Church's signed a franchising deal that signals a "significant" expansion in the Southeast U.S., according to a news release. Franchisee Richard Reeves of Florida Chicken LLC, signed a deal to open 10 restaurants in Tampa, St. Petersburg and Orlando, Florida, with backing from American Development  Partners. Another 10-restaurant deal among the parties is anticipated in 2021.

Reeves is president and CEO of Tap House Development, LLC which owns 11 World of Beer franchises. He was also previously a senior vice president at Chi Chi's franchisee operator, KJ Enterprises and district director at KFC, operating 58 restaurants for that brand.

Reeves will open the first Church's under this deal in April, followed by the additional nine locations by 2021.

"After the initial rollout of units, we’ve estimated the value from design, construction and real estate to be worth more than $25,000,000," ADP COO Caleb McMillen, said in the release.
