Culver's marketing focus shifts to North Atlantic Cod

February 22, 2012

Culver's new TV spot, titled "Hand-Battered Perfection," focuses on its North Atlantic Cod offerings, including the sandwich or meal. The commercial is part of the chain's latest marketing campaign, "Welcome to Delicious," that was introduced in the spring of 2011.

"We serve the cod loin – the biggest, flakiest part of the fish – the filet mignon of the cod, caught in the icy waters north of the Arctic Circle," said Craig Culver, co-founder and CEO of Culver's. "Great tasting fish has been a cornerstone of our menu since our first restaurant opened in Sauk City, Wisconsin in 1984."

As in the previous "Welcome to Delicious" TV commercials, Culver is paired with a supplier partner. This time he joins a fifth-generation fish exporter to demonstrate the process of hand battering, breading and dressing the North Atlantic Cod Filet for each sandwich.

Culver's new TV spot is available here.

Also starting this week, Culver's will feature the Northwoods Walleye, rolled out in time for Lent. Culver's crispy Northwoods Walleye is available for a limited time only to ensure sourcing is sustainable and safe.

Northwoods Walleye and North Atlantic Cod are available as dinners with the choice of two sides. Both are also available as sandwich value baskets with a side and a beverage.

Finally, to mark the Lenten season, Culver's is giving Facebook fans the chance to win deals through an interactive fishing game starting March 5.
