Del Taco has entered Indiana with the opening of its first restaurant in the state, marking another step in the Mexican quick-service chain's franchise expansion.

The restaurant, located in Bedford, is owned and operated by franchise partner SLK Holdings, led by Cole Sinclair. It is the franchise group's first Del Taco and the beginning of its plans to expand the brand into additional Indiana communities, according to a news release.

"Opening our first Del Taco is more than launching a restaurant — it's the beginning of a long-term commitment to Indiana," Sinclair said in the release. "We're honored to bring Del Taco's fresh, quality menu to Bedford while creating local jobs and supporting the schools, youth sports, charities and organizations that make this community special."

The Bedford restaurant features a drive-thru and indoor dining and serves Del Taco's lineup of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, burgers and fries.

As SLK Holdings expands in Indiana, the franchisee said it plans to focus on building local relationships and supporting the communities where it operates. To mark the opening, the first 100 customers will receive free The Del Tacos for a year and a Del Taco T-shirt.
