Taco John's will open a location in La Porte, Indiana, on August 10, at 416 J Street, according to a press release.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the La Porte Economic Advancement Partnership is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
The first 100 customers will receive Taco John's merchandise, and the first 25 customers will receive a ticket redeemable for one free small order of Potato Oles each week for a year. Attendees can also enter a giveaway for an Xbox, a laptop and a TV. Winners will be drawn at the close of business August 16.
The restaurant will be open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday; and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
Franchisees Kush Patel and Bobby Patel are operating the location.
"Bringing this new Taco John's location to our community represents an exciting new chapter for our team. We look forward to welcoming guests, creating local employment opportunities, and serving high-quality meals that bring great value to families throughout the area," Kush Patel said in the release.
Taco John's President and CEO Heather Neary noted the opening is part of the company's broader effort to grow in the Midwest.
