Del Taco sweetens deals for multi-unit franchisees

Del Taco is looking for multi-unit franchise operators and is enhancing its offerings to entice inquiries. The brand said in a news release that it has "strong demand" to expand new markets, so it's offering incentives to franchisees who commit to at least five restaurants in new markets in a specified time frame. It is offering discounted initial fees and reduced royalties for up to three years.

The brand has achieved 14 straight quarters of system-wide, same-store sales increases, and wants to grow in the Southeastern U.S. and Pacific Northwest. 

"The growth and success that Del Taco has experienced over recent years is a testament to the strength of our business model," Del Taco Director of Franchise Development Laura Tanaka said in the news release. "Our accomplishments have helped propel our franchise initiatives forward, and we're thrilled to continue to expand our brand in a disciplined and measured fashion with multi-unit franchise partners across specific regional geographies."

The brand has more than 550 locations in 15 states, with existing and new market opportunities available.
