Dessert-centered chain grows, offers franchising LTOs

Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip is offering two LTOs strictly for prospective franchise partners, according to a news release. Those looking into U.S. multi-unit opportunities with the dessert-centric chain are now eligible for a new Buy 3 Get 2 Free franchisee fee offer through Sept. 30. This "LTO" also includes an initial 90-day royalty-free period for each café opened through the program.

The company said that in addition to new café openings, ownership transfers of existing cafés also qualify for the offer, and the 90-day royalty waiver applies even to existing store purchases and re-openings of closed stores.

Finally, Nestle Toll House Café by Chip is working with two national developers to open cafés in 30 regional U.S. malls, offering special incentives for new franchisees, including half off the franchise fee, taking that payment down to $15,000.

The program is part of the company's plan to open outlets in 30 malls nationwide by the end of the year.

"Our brand is growing rapidly from coast to coast and we have been asked multiple times for special pricing consideration from multi-unit franchise candidates," brand franchisor Crest Foods President Ziad S. Dalal said in the release. "We decided to make this limited-time offer in response to those requests, and we're looking forward to signing several new deals. We're equally excited about our new alliances with the regional mall developers and we encourage interested candidates to contact us right away, while sites are still available."
