Dunkin’ Donuts ranks first in customer loyalty

February 15, 2011

Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index, provider of proprietary brand equity and customer loyalty metrics, has recognized Dunkin’ Donuts as the No. 1 coffee company in customer loyalty.

The results were derived from Brand Keys’ 14th annual national survey, which predicts the products consumers are most likely to purchase throughout the next 12 to 18 months. In the coffee category, consumer preferences were based on consistently meeting expectations for taste, quality and service.
It is the fifth straight year Dunkin’ Donuts earned the study's top rank.

"This great honor speaks volumes about our incredible franchise community. We have nearly 1,200 franchise owners and operators in the U.S. who are committed to providing our guests with an unmatched customer experience each and every day,” said John Costello, chief global customer and marketing officer at Dunkin' Brands. “Through their efforts, Dunkin' Donuts is one of the world's most recognized and loved brands and a daily ritual for millions of people.”

Franchise opportunities brewing

Speaking of franchise owners, Dunkin’ Donuts will host a franchise development seminar Feb. 23 in San Antonio, Texas, to discuss ownership opportunities in the market.

Dunkin' Donuts' development throughout San Antonio is part of a steady and strategic growth strategy, which includes expanding in existing markets while entering new cities across the country.

To help fuel that growth, special development incentives are available such as reduced royalty fees for three years and an extra $10,000 in local-store marketing funds for restaurants that open on time.

Dunkin' Donuts executives will be in town to host the franchise seminar Feb. 23 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel San Antonio. Registration for the event can be done online.

Additionally, Dunkin’ Donuts is seeking franchisees in the Green Bay, Wisc., area, including the surrounding markets such as La Crosse and Eau Claire.

"Dunkin' Donuts is looking for qualified candidates with foodservice, operations and real estate experience to join our team to help expand the brand's footprint in San Antonio and Green Bay and the surrounding areas," said Grant Benson, CFE, vice president of franchising and market planning, Dunkin' Brands Inc. "Our secret to success is our passionate franchisees who provide a high-level of customer service to our guests' everyday, and we encourage interested parties to attend our franchising seminar to learn how they can open a Dunkin' Donuts restaurant in their community."
