Global Franchise Group partners with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Global Franchise Group, parent company of Great American Cookies, Marble Slab Creamery, MaggieMoo's Ice Cream & Treatery and Pretzelmaker, has announced a partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for fundraising efforts beginning today and running through Sept. 30.

The company has set a goal of raising $200,000 during the partnership period.

"We are honored to be partnering with the world's largest voluntary health agency: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society," said Chris Dull, president and CEO of GFG Management LLC. "By setting a goal of $200,000 we are helping to make a difference in the lives of so many patients and their families. We look forward to supporting LLS and furthering their important life-changing research."

LLS is a charity with the goal of curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma while improving the quality of life for patients and their families. It includes more than than 61 chapters in the U.S. and Canada.

Through its company-wide initiative, Global Franchise Group is encouraging its customers to visit stores and purchase paper balloon icons as a donation to LLS to help fund cancer research and patient services. In addition to the paper balloon icon program, Global Franchise Group will participate in Light The Night Walks throughout the country. The Light The Night Walk is LLS's evening walk campaign held in communities nationwide each Fall to honor and commemorate lives touched by cancer and raise funds to support blood cancer research and help patients and their families.

"We look forward to adding Global Franchise Group to our support team in the fight to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma," said Kaye Skonieczny, senior national director, Partnership Development from LLS. "Their donation goal of $200,000 is very generous and will help us continue to fund research and provide care for those in need."

The brands are managed by GFG Management LLC, a subsidiary of Global Franchise Group.
