Goalz Restaurant Group names CFO

Multi-unit restaurant operator, Goalz Restaurant Group, has named Steve Piascik as partner and chief financial officer. A news release said the role is responsible for creating and establishing yearly financial objectives for company growth, new investment recommendations and vendor/business partner relationships. 

Piascik has more than 28 years of financial expertise with a focus in complex accounting and tax consulting and founded the boutique tax and financial firm, Piascik. He was previously senior tax manager for KPMG LLP, where he managed finances for technology and emerging growth companies.

"With Steve's impressive portfolio of financial expertise across a variety of industries and clients, we are certain he will play a vital role in our organization's overall success," CEO Shawn Eby said in the release. 

Goalz operates franchises for the Captain D's, Church's Chicken, and Dog Haus brands and opened their newest Dog Haus restaurant in Decatur, Illinois, in January. The company said it will open and operate more than 250 restaurants over the next five years across 10 states.
