Golden Chick has added queso to its menu for the first time as part of a limited-time Tex-Mex lineup available through Nov. 1 at all of its restaurants, according to a press release.
The warm, mild dip features a blend of American cheese, cream, roasted green chiles, jalapeños and red bell peppers. It is served alongside a whole pickled jalapeño across the new menu items for customers who want extra heat.
The new Tex-Mex lineup includes:
Customers can also add queso to any order for an additional $1.
"Texans have strong opinions about queso, and as a brand with Texas roots, we knew ours had to earn its place at the table," Howard Terry, chief marketing officer of Golden Chick, said in the press release. "We wanted something that could stand up to the bold flavor of our Spicy Golden Tenders® while still being the kind of dip guests reach for with everything on the tray. Queso may be new to Golden Chick, but pairing it with Spicy Golden Tenders, fries seasoned with Lotta Zing and our Golden Rolls feels unmistakably Texas and unmistakably Golden Chick."
The queso launch arrives alongside a broader update to Golden Chick's menu, which includes new combo meals, a large option for its battered French fries and a new spicy bone-in fried chicken.
