July 29, 2015

Heartland Payment System’s Heartland Omni-Channel Commerce Engine (XCE) significantly impacted the performance of Taco Bell’s mobile app, helping it reach 3 million downloads, according to a company press release.

The Heartland XCE, according to the report, allowed Taco Bell’s app to provide customers with an up-to-date menu, nutritional information, food order customization and a mobile payment solution that allowed consumers to see food and their prices for 6,000 domestic Taco Bells stores on their mobile devices.

“Taco Bell is the leader in bringing a mobile solution to the Quick Service Restaurant segment and we are pleased to have provided them a cornerstone component for this initiative. The Heartland Omni-Channel Commerce Engine enables Taco Bell to leverage our years of Quick Service Restaurant and restaurant technology experience to bring a world-class experience to their guests.” Heartland’s senior vice president of Commerce, Christopher Sebes, said in the release. “The combination of Taco Bell’s initiative to support the highest levels of customer engagement along with Heartland enabled technology clearly demonstrates Taco Bell’s leadership in consumer engagement technology in the Quick Service Restaurant segment.”
