India McDonald's mPOS takes orders from tables and homes of customers

Shenzhen, China-based PAX Technology Limited, provider of secure electronic payment terminals, announced that McDonald's will deploy the D180 mPOS device designed to speed up the ordering process and smooth business operations in India.

Shenzhen, China-based PAX Technology Limited, provider of secure electronic payment terminals, announced that McDonald's will deploy the D180 mPOS device designed to speed up the ordering process and smooth business operations in India.

PAX partnered with FortunePay, an Indian payment and commerce company, to integrate the D180 by Bluetooth communication with Android tablets. The integration enables McDonald's staff to take orders from customers seated at tables or at home.

The D180 is designed to reduce queues during peak hours and improve operational efficiency. It complies with EMV, PCI and SRED mandates internationally and is locally certified by Ratnakar Bank in India, McDonald's merchant acquirer, the announcement said.
