Jack in the Box has something for fans who feel that day-after-Super-Bowl cold coming on

February 1, 2019

Jack in the Box said it has research that shows an estimated 13.9 million employees called in sick the Monday after Super Bowl last year, so it has coined a new holiday and term to refer to the day, in a very brand-promoting way, of course. It has created Super Jack'd Monday with specials that help all those game day-weary fans have some sustenance while playing hooky.

On Monday, Feb. 4, the chain partnered with DoorDash to deliver Super Jack'd Monday Boxes on that day only to those poor bed-ridden hungover fans willing to plunk down $6 for the one-day LTO, which a press release said includes:

  • A pair of tacos.
  • 10 chicken nuggets.
  • An egg roll.
  • Curly fries.
  • Small drink.

Pre-orders for the boxes began Jan. 31 for all those football fans who foresaw impending sickness Monday. The chain will give the first 100 pre-ordered Super Jack'd Monday Boxes away for free with promo code - SUPERJACKD (via DoorDash). The boxes are also available Monday for those who can walk and/or drive Monday, as well.

The brand said it's also partnering with "notable micro and macro digital influencers" to bring in Monday with a content series that it says will focus on situations where the box LTO will make customers feel, look, be and do better on Twitter, Youtube, Facebook and Instagram. Bosses everywhere will be so happy about that.
