Jersey Mike's named Official Sandwich of All American Games

September 19, 2012

Jersey Mike's Subs and All American Games, a premier youth sports marketing and management company, have announced a multiplatform partnership that makes Jersey Mike's an official partner and "Official Sandwich" of All American Games' properties, including the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, a perennial high school all-star game, and Football University, a nationwide series of football training camps.

The partnership will officially kick-off Sept. 25 with the start of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Tour. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Under terms of the agreement, Jersey Mike's will receive activations at every AAG property and across many platforms including on-site, digital, social, print and radio/TV. Additionally, Jersey Mike's will be the "Official Sandwich of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl" and "Official Sandwich of Football University."

AAG will receive Jersey Mike's product for all events and athletes, branding at store locations and across digital assets, and the ability to activate various in-store promotions and contests.

"Youth sports and Jersey Mike's go together like lettuce and tomato, like olive oil and red wine vinegar," said Hoyt Jones, Jersey Mike's president. "Our founder got so much out of playing football in high school that, from the beginning, we have been committed to helping local athletic teams throughout the country. Our partnership with All American Games allows us to continue this support of kids who are learning important lessons from sports about leadership, perseverance and hard work."

In the aggregate, All American Games reaches more than 1 million youth and high school football players, as well as their parents and coaches, annually through its nationwide training camps and leading sporting events. (This figure doesn't include the television and digital viewing audience.)

AAG properties include the U.S. Army All-American Bowl; U.S. Army All-American Selection Tour, the 10-week event that travels the nation to announce All Americans; FBU, the 40-city nationwide training camps; FBU Youth National Championships; Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl; TOP GUN All-Star national camp; Coaches Clinics; National Tackling Academies; and the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.

"Selecting a food provider partner is an extremely important decision for AAG as nutrition is a main priority for us and the AAG athletes across the nation," said Rich McGuinness, president of AAG. "We are absolutely thrilled to partner with Jersey Mike's for their shared values, inspiring leadership, and incredibly nutritious and best-tasting sandwiches."
