For a limited-time only, Jersey Mike’s Subs is offering its Chicka-Phila-Roni in celebration of the chain’s 55th anniversary. The sub will be available through February.
The Chicka-Phila-Roni is a chicken cheesesteak with savory/sweet onions, topped with pepperoni and melted American cheese. It is grilled-to-order.
The sub was inspired by a group of customers who also are Dallas Cowboy football players.
“We wanted to introduce something truly distinctive for our 55th anniversary,” said Hoyt Jones, Jersey Mike’s president. “We are always surprised by the great sub ideas that come from our customers and Chicka-Phila-Roni was created with the help of some fans in Dallas who just happen to be professional football players. Pepperoni and cheese are consumer favorites and this sub delivers full flavor.”
The Chicka-Phila-Roni is the first LTO from Jersey Mike’s in five years. It may become permanent if there is a positive consumer response, in which case it would receive its own special number designation.
Online ordering
Also in celebration of Jersey Mike’s milestone anniversary, the chain has introduced online ordering at participating locations.
The company partnered with ONOSYS Online Ordering to design the system, which allows for faster service and reduction of errors.
Customers who take advantage of the new ordering system can either pay online with a credit card or in-store when picking up orders.
