KFC doubling delivery service in South Africa

March 26, 2012

More South Africans will have access to KFC via delivery by the end of this year, as the company has announced it is doubling its service there.

According to Business Live, this will bring the total number of KFC delivery outlets to 80.

KFC Delivery is currently available in Gauteng, Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Kwazulu-Natal, Limpopo and the North West provinces. KFC Delivery-branded vehicles include scooter motorbikes and cars.

KFC has more than 660 locations in South Africa and 190 locations throughout the rest of the continent. Parent company Yum! Brands hopes to expand KFC to 1,000 stores in Africa by the end of this year, with more than 700 of those in S.A.

Plans call for KFC's introduction in new markets such as Angola, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Madagascar.
