Krispy Kreme franchisee taps DTT Surveillance

Great Circle Family Foods LLC, a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts franchisee, has selected DTT Surveillance for its surveillance and loss prevention services.

DTT has begun the roll out of its systems into Krispy Kreme's stores and has completed more than half to date.

"Having remote access allows us to monitor our operations around the clock and DTT's SmartAudit tool puts the spotlight on core areas of loss prevention. Our goal is to identify areas of improvement that can enhance our guests' experiences, ensure our operating practices are exceeding standards, and provide a safe environment for both team members and guests," said Brett Garlinghouse, president of Great Circle Family Foods.

He added that the new system also will have a positive impact on the company's bottom line. DTT's SmartAudit's reports in the first few weeks of being live identified two examples of under-ringing sales, for example.

"DTT's remote access and SmartAudit are great tools for deterrence and loss prevention and we expect to continue to see measurable improvement in safety, operating practices and profits," Garlinghouse said.

Great Circle Family Foods LLC is the exclusive franchisee and area developer for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in Southern California. It operates 11 retail locations.

DTT Surveillance is headquartered in Los Angeles.
