Krispy Kreme launches Latin American dessert doughnuts

Krispy Kreme is launching a new line of Latin American-inspired doughnuts for a limited time, according to a press release.

The Destination Dessert Collection features three flavors based on classic desserts: a tres leches-inspired unglazed shell doughnut filled with tres leches Kreme and topped with sweet creme flavored buttercreme, cake doughnut crumbs and cinnamon; a guava cheesecake unglazed shell doughnut filled with cheesecake Kreme and guava filling, dipped in guava icing and topped with an icing drizzle and crunch; and a choco dulce cookie crunch unglazed shell doughnut inspired by chocotorta, filled with chocolate dulce cookie Kreme, dipped in chocolate icing and chocolate cookie crumbles, and topped with dulce de leche buttercreme.

The release marks the next stop on the company's global flavor tour, following previous summer collections inspired by Paris and Italy.

"We love taking fans on delicious adventures through flavor, and our Destination Dessert Collection is our sweetest journey yet," Alison Holder, chief brand and product officer at Krispy Kreme, said in the press release. "Inspired by some of Latin America's most iconic desserts, each doughnut reimagines a beloved classic into an indulgent, one-of-a-kind treat that delivers a delicious escape with every bite."

The collection is available individually and by the dozen at participating shops, as well as for pickup or delivery via the Krispy Kreme app and website.
