Krispy Kreme UK creates new recruitment process

March 9, 2012

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has announced details of a new UK recruitment operation that will involve a comprehensive selection and assessment process.

The North Carolina-based company is looking to further its stake in the British market with strategic growth plans targeted in the northeast regions of England and Scotland. The company's head of human resources, Claire Giraldo, said the recruitment process would be thorough and exacting to make sure they found the most suitable candidates.

"We're looking for recruits who have a functional match, making sure the individuals have the right skills and competencies to do the jobs. But we are also going to be looking for people who have passion for the brand, who are very passionate about engaging the customers and taking it to the next level in terms of creating 'magic moments' for our customers," she said.

Krispy Kreme just announced a 26 percent revenue increase in the UK and is planning an aggressive expansion.

Joint managing director Richard Cheshire said Krispy Kreme plans to double its outlets to 100 by 2015, while also adding new flavors and improving existing stores.
