A Pennsylvania man and his girlfriend allege they were beaten by a number of QSR employees Feb. 24, outside Taco Bell's Philadelphia Tenth and Chestnut location. Philadelphia media, including WPVI-TV, reported that Bryan Reese, of Northern Liberties, shared video of the attack that WPVI said shows six people in Taco Bell uniforms beating the two outside the store in the recording made by Reese's friend, who posted it to Twitter.
Reese told the news station that he and some friends were among a crowd who had waited nearly an hour for orders that night shortly before 11 p.m. Reese said employees at the location complained that they had been inundated with GrubHub orders. He said when he complained three employees of the location followed him outside, where he said both he and his girlfriend were knocked to the ground and beaten.
A Taco Bell spokeswoman told QSRweb, "We're shocked and disappointed to see this situation; we and our franchisees do not tolerate this behavior. The franchisee who owns and operates this location is retraining its staff, and all team members involved have been terminated."
Police are investigating the incident.
