McDonald's has extended its national search for men who make a difference. The entry deadline is now April 15.
The search seeks five service-minded, African American males between the ages of 18-34, who will represent the official "Men of McCafe" initiative at the 2011 Essence Music Festival, which is being held in New Orleans in July.
Recently, McDonald's wrapped up its sponsorship of the 2011 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) tournament weekend featuring the Men of McCafe celebrity ambassadors, actors and TV stars Hosea Chanchez (from BET's The Game) and Lamman Rucker (from TBS' Meet The Browns).
Celebrity hosts Isaac Keys, former NFL player and reality star from TV One's The Ultimate Merger, and Alesha Renee, actress/television personality, interviewed Rucker during the "Men of McCafe" Definition of a Man conversation where he encouraged men to become involved in their community and support causes they are passionate about.
