McDonald's franchisees add consumer rewards program

Nine Omaha, Neb.-area McDonald's franchisees have partnered with PinPoint Rewards to offer the PinPoint Card, a consumer rewards program.

According to a release on RestaurantNews, by using the PinPoint Card, consumers earn points with every purchase, which go toward a variety of rewards. The program includes Welcome Rewards for signing up (coupons from merchants), Payback Rewards for habitual purchases, Birthday/Anniversary/Special Occasions Rewards and more.

McDonald's franchise group owner Jim Darmody said the system is easy to use for both customers and employees.

"The efficiency of the program, the way the tracking is done and the notifications are done — it's all very smooth, very effortless, not cumbersome at all. We expect big things from it," he said.
