Papa Johns promotes 4 to leadership positions

Papa Johns International Inc. has made several immediate changes to its leadership team to support the company's ongoing strategic transformation, according to a press release.

Chris Lyn-Sue, who served as senior vice president and general manager of international, has been named global chief marketing officer. Lyn-Sue joined the company in 2022 and previously served as interim chief marketing officer in 2024.

John Matter has been named to the newly created position of global chief development officer and assistant corporate secretary, where he will lead growth and development strategy. Matter, who has been with Papa Johns since 2013, most recently served as senior vice president, general counsel and interim head of North American development.

Caroline Miller Oyler, the company's chief administrative officer, has been named chief legal and administrative officer. She will reassume direct leadership of the legal function in addition to her current oversight duties and will continue in her role as corporate secretary.

Chris Phylactou has been named senior vice president, international. Since rejoining the company in 2020, Phylactou held several leadership roles, most recently serving as managing director for the U.K., Europe and Canada.

"Papa Johns is focused on advancing our strategic transformation, and we believe these appointments will help us deliver on that objective," Todd Penegor, president and chief executive officer of Papa Johns, said in the release. "Chris, John, Caroline and Chris are tremendous leaders whose leadership and expertise have contributed to the progress we have made on several of our key priorities, including building momentum in our International business, optimizing our restaurant portfolio, supporting our global franchisee base and enabling efficiency and closer collaboration across teams. We are confident they bring the discipline, focus and operational insight required to position Papa Johns for improved performance in 2027 and beyond."

In connection with the appointments,Chief Marketing Officer Jenna Bromberg is leaving the company. Bromberg will serve in an advisory capacity through Aug. 28 to support a seamless transition.

"On behalf of the board and management team, I also want to thank Jenna for her contributions to Papa Johns. We are grateful for her commitment to supporting a smooth transition, and we wish her the best," Penegor said in the release.

Papa Johns has 6,000 restaurants in approximately 50 countries and territories
