Punchh adds 9 new brands to now reach 20M total customers

Cloud-based engagement and loyalty platform Punchh has signed on nine new brands to its Punchh Restaurant Marketing Cloud. Among them are Fazoli's, Norms Restaurants/CapitalSpring, Pieology, Slim Chickens and Vitality Bowls. A news release said the additions expand the restaurant network to more than 100 brands worldwide with 20 million customers and $10 billion in annual spend.

Punchh helps restaurants extend personalized offers to engage loyal customers and is able to modernize customer engagement programs within weeks, according to the release. The company said brands can also use its services to segment customers, predict customer behavior, create and execute targeted campaigns, and track performance in real time.

"Our mission at Punchh is to roll back the clock on retail by about 100 years, and create the kind of 'corner store' relationship between shopkeepers and customers that existed in the past," Punchh co-founder and CEO Shyam Rao said in the release. "By using our platform to invest in their customers, our clients see massive return in the form of deeper engagement, increased orders, higher average spend and more frequent visits, providing a universally better experience."

The company's "marketing cloud" is built on three pillars, including engagement to determine and deliver on customer preferences; consumer behavior forecasting for optimum program delivery time and route; and marketing program execution and management with full tracking capabilities.

"Slim Chickens focuses on creating satisfying and meaningful relationships with our customers, said Greg Smart, co-founder and chief brand officer for the company. "As an engagement platform, Punchh delivers a wider array of opportunities to not only advertise to our customer, but actually customize the experience for each individual, delivering the kind of vital and real relationships we strive for each day."
