QSRs offering some Tax Day relief

A handful of QSRs are offering a bit of relief as American taxpayers scramble to fulfill their patriotic duty ahead of the looming April 15 deadline.

For the third year in a row, Arby's restaurants will offer a Tax Day Curly Fry Giveaway. Additionally, for the first time, Arby's is also offering Small Potato Cakes on that day.

Carvel is marking tax season by featuring a deal on Oreo Lil' Rounders. Consumers who like the Carvel brand on Facebook will receive a printable coupon for an 18-pack of Oreo Lil' Rounders for the tax-inspired price of $10.40 (a $3-plus savings). This special pricing is available from April 13 - April 15 at participating locations.

White Castle is offering a 15-percent discount on orders at all restaurants and online from now through tax day. Guests can find the coupon on White Castle's Facebook page or by logging onto WhiteCastle.com.

Great American Cookies will give away free Birthday Cake Cookies all day on April 15. The new offering was created to taste like cake and is covered in colorful sprinkles.

Finally, Sonic Drive-Inis offering its Happy Hour prices on drinks all day on April 15. The half-price promotion normally runs for two hours. This deal includes the brand's new iced cream teas as well as slushes and other signature beverages.
