Quail Digital has introduced the Q-Pro Series 5 headset, a drive-thru system that does not require a belt pack or cabling. The wireless set includes integral lane timing, customer greetings and crew prompts.
The system operates on the 1.88-1.90 GHZ frequency band with a base station and wireless repeaters for extended range indoors and outdoors.
It also features noise suppression and acoustic echo canceling for more clarity. The headset functions by "reading" noise and recognizing peaks caused in conversation.
Additionally, automated messages can be added to the system, and the "QBuster" lane timer software is included, which identifies if orders are taking too long or if lines are building up. The system allows for staff to call for extra support if needed.
Other Q-Pro Series 5 features include notifications when a customer approaches and the "Message Manager," which allows users to record their own customer greetings, promotional messages and task reminders for employees. Up to 16 messages can be programmed.
The system includes two password levels, one for staff and one for technical support. It is also network compatible, providing remote access for programming updates.
"The latest noise and echo cancelling technologies improves the audio quality between the drive thru lane and the kitchen, reducing mistakes and inaccuracies and improving efficiency and customer service," said Tom Downes, CEO of Quail Digital. "It’s also better for staff, the headsets are comfortable and lightweight and combined with the full duplex ‘on all the time’ system operatives are hands free to operate the order system, cash register and production."
