Quaker Steak & Lube opens 1st 'Express' location in Gary travel center

TA Restaurant Group has opened its first Quaker Steak & Lube Express at the I-80/I-94 Burr Street exit in Gary, Indiana. The QSR will offer everything from jumbo bone-in wings and boneless wings to fried chicken, steak sandwiches and burger, salads, wraps, shrimp and macaroni and cheese, according to a news release. 

"We are excited to bring this new walk-up concept of The Lube to professional drivers, motorists and the Gary community," brand VP Bruce Lane, said in the release. 

Quaker Steak & Lube Express is also soon offering online ordering and a breakfast menu, while TravelCenters' UltraONE Professional Driver Rewards Program members can redeem their points at the express location, which was recently renovated. Quaker Steak & Lube is owned, operated and franchised by TA parent company, TravelCenters of America and this is the company's second travel center Quaker Steak & Lube location, but the other is a full-service restaurant in Columbia, South Carolina that opened early last year.
