Rita's deal marks first day of summer

Rita's Italian Ice will offer Regular Italian Ices for $2 to celebrate the First Day of Summer on June 20.

No coupon is necessary, and the deal is good at participating locations across Rita's system of more than 625 stores in 19 states.

"Is there a better way to kick off summer than by treating yourself to an amazing Rita's Italian Ice on a hot afternoon?" said Jonathan Fornaci, CEO, Rita's Franchise Company. "We invite Rita's Ice lovers everywhere to enjoy the first day of summer at Rita's."

Rita's Italian Ice (often referred to as water ice) is available in more than 60 flavors including popular Cherry, Alex's Lemonade, Mango, Swedish Fish, Kiwi-Strawberry and Island Fusion.

Rita's also hosts a free Ice giveaway every year to mark the first day of spring. This year's event was held March 20.
