Roy Rogers Restaurants plans 100th birthday celebration

Roy Rogers Restaurants is celebrating the 100th birthday of "cowboy crooner" and namesake Roy Rogers from Nov. 5-11 at most locations.
The celebration will feature promotions, discounts and treats, including:
- Sweet Snacks: Roy Rogers Restaurants offer guests complimentary bite-size sweets, while they last, on Nov. 5.
- Sandwich "Bounce-Back:" Roy's 100th Birthday flyers will be available with any purchase during the week. They are good through the entire month of November for a free regular size roast beef sandwich, with the purchase of a large drink and the classic holster of fries.
- Roy and Roger, Meet Roy Rogers: During the celebration week only, all guests named "Roy" or "Roger" will receive a free regular combo meal with identification. Limit one meal per person, per visit.
- "10-Gallon Tots:" During the celebration week only, children 12 and under wearing a Cowboy Hat will receive a Roy's Wooden Nickel, good for one free small ice cream cone. No purchase necessary.
"Roy Rogers was a bigger-than-life personality ... singer, actor, and all-around American icon. He stood for honesty, integrity and value; all of the attributes we strive to offer our guests every day," said Gwyn Geiman, director of marketing. "We wanted to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth in a big way, with lots of presents. And who better to give those presents to, than our loyal guests?"
American singer and cowboy actor Roy Rogers was born Leonard Franklin Slye on November 5, 1911, and died July 6, 1998.
