Sonic standardizes MICROS POS solution

Sonic Corp. has selected MICROS as its strategic enterprise solution partner. Included in the solution is MICROS' point-of-sale for drive-in transactions, as well as MICROS' enterprise solution including Enterprise Management, Enterprise Inventory and Labor, Business Intelligence, and Loss Prevention systems for above drive-in operations.

According to a news release, this enterprise solution will be provided in a SaaS model providing an economic and streamlined approach for Sonic and its franchisees to deploy and maintain its technology.

Sonic's implementation of the MICROS solution has begun in corporate drive-ins and all new drive-in openings. Installations at existing Sonic franchise locations will follow shortly thereafter.

The MICROS solution will include a new audio system aimed to enhance the drive-in experience and simplify operations. MICROS also developed customized eLearning content for the Sonic Learning Management System, providing an interactive training experience, to reduce drive-in training and provide managers with both training scores and employee feedback.
