Subway adds pathogen control layer to food safety protocol

Subway has added PURE Bioscence Inc.'s PURE Hard Surface disinfectant to its US locations as part of its food safety and sanitization program.

According to a news release, PURE Hard Surface disinfectant features a patented, non-toxic, environmentally-friendly SDC antimicrobial molecule.

"Food safety and food quality are our top priorities and our goal is to serve food that consistently meets the highest quality and safety standards," Eric Wolfe, Subway's manager of Global Product Quality, said in the release. "We think PURE Hard Surface disinfectant is a powerful, yet safe and environmentally friendly way to help franchisees meet those standards."
