Subway adds technology suite for multilingual initiatives

May 1, 2014

Translations.com, a provider of language services and translation-related technologies, has signed an agreement with Subway to provide the chain with enterprise language services and the GlobalLink Localization Suite.

According to a news release, by employing Translations.com's GlobalLink platform, Subway will be able to streamline, automate and centralize its translation requirements around the world. The suite includes project management, workflow, terminology management, review and centralized translation memory.

It should help reduce Subway's overall cost of creating, maintaining and deploying global content. With GlobalLink Connect, Subway will have the flexibility to integrate with CMS, PIM and e-commerce platforms.

"Subway is committed to building global tools and resources for our brand around the world. We look forward to working with Translations.com to manage our growing global translation requirements," CTO Carman Wenkoff said in the release. "GlobalLink has offered comprehensive tools and flexibility in integrating with our internal processes, thus making them a strong choice for a language solution partner."
