Subway is retiring it MyWay loyalty program and replacing it with a program called MVP Rewards.
The program launches Sept. 9 in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. The MVP Rewards offers more points, more ways to earn and more subs.
The program features new status tiers, Pro, Captain and All-Star which offer more earning power, according to a press release. All 30 million MyWay members across North America will be automatically enrolled in MVP with unspent tokens converted into points. New members will receive 250 points bonus for joining.
"Subway fans are the best in QSR and to thank them for their loyalty, we're giving them the star treatment as MVP Rewards members," Mike Kappitt, chief operating and insights officer at Subway, said in the release. "Consumer input helped inform our refreshed loyalty program to create a best-in-class experience. MVP Rewards gives our guests more of what they love from Subway, with a few hidden surprises baked in, so every guest feels like an MVP and comes back to Subway more often for their favorite subs."
Members at the Captain and All-Star tiers will soon have access to special Subway merchandise and members-only VIP exclusives. Here is a breakdown of the tiers and loyalty rewards.
Pro – introductory tier, spending less than $200 per year
Captain – $200 annual spend
All-Star – $400 annual spend
Subway operates in more than 100 countries and territories with nearly 37,000 restaurants.
The news comes on the heels of Subway offering an opportunity to eat Subway on a blimp. The brand has unveiled Subway in the Sky taking flight this month, according to a press release.
