Subway’s LA franchisee group selects AOR

The Los Angeles-area franchisee group of Subway restaurants has selected Austin, Texas-based Proof Advertising as its full-service agency of record. The announcement comes after a review of undisclosed contenders.

Proof Advertising will be responsible for all strategic planning, creative development and media planning and buying to support the more than 1,100 stores in the marketing area.

"We knew Proof Advertising was the right partner based on their track record of success and their strategic approach to our unique business challenges and opportunities. They really stood out from the pack," said Pete Patel, local board chair for the Los Angeles market.

The win comes shortly after the Chicago, Austin, and the Fargo and Minot, N.D., markets of Subway restaurants awarded Proof Advertising similar duties late last year and brings the total number of stores Proof Advertising serves to more than 5,000 across 32 markets.

"We are very pleased that our performance with the Subway brand continues to be recognized and that we continue to grow with this great brand. The Los Angeles market is one of the largest and most successful markets within the Subway restaurant chain, and we are excited to join their team," said Bryan Christian, president and co-owner of Proof Advertising.

The first work from Proof Advertising is expected to launch this summer.
