Taco Bell has announced the call for entries for its 6th annual Feed the Beat program, which provides 100 musicians $500 in Taco Bell gift cards and unique marketing support to further their career.
Artists can sign up online now through Sept. 9. Eligible artists need to have a fan base, be on tour during the fall and have a dedicated Web page.
Feed the Beat artists will be announced Sept. 26.
Following their online entry and selection into the 2010 Feed the Beat line-up, Chiddy Bang's song "The Good Life" was featured in a national Taco Bell TV commercial and Taco Bell hosted a special hometown concert that was live streamed, alongside other exclusive content, to the 7 million fans on Taco Bell's Facebook page. As a result, Chiddy Bang saw a 330 percent increase in "The Good Life" downloads after the first week the commercial aired.
Chiddy Bang will also be featured at the MTV's Friday Night Pre-VMA Concert event sponsored by Taco Bell on Aug. 26.
