Taco Bell launches Beefy Crunch Burrito hotline

Taco Bell's recent re-launch of the Beefy Crunch Burrito, in response to high demand, has prompted the chain to also issue a new hotline where consumers can dial in "for all things Beefy Crunch Burrito."

The 24-hour hotline – 855-BEEFY-CRUNCH – offers consumers support whenever they're craving the limited time 99-cent offer that includes Flamin' Hot Fritos chips, beef, nacho cheese sauce, seasoned rice and reduced-fat sour cream.

The hotline, an additional marketing outlet for the item, was introduced on Taco Bell's Facebook page and includes the following prompts:

Greeting Message:Welcome to the Beefy Crunch Burrito Hotline: your 24-hour source for all things Beefy Crunch Burrito. Please choose from the following menu the option that best fits your needs. The Beefy Crunch Burrito, available for a limited time only at participating Taco Bell Locations.

Option 1

Prompt: If you can't stop eating Beefy Crunch Burritos, press 1

Response: The good news is you don't have to stop. The bad news is the spicy kick and crunch of the Flaming Hot Fritos is irresistible ... So you're probably not going to be able to stop, even if you some how inconceivably wanted to.

Option 2

Prompt: If you're having dreams about the Beefy Crunch Burrito, press 2

Response: Well, we're no Sigmund Freud, but those dreams must have been delicious. We're jelly. Our advice? Try not to eat your pillow.

Option 3

Prompt: If you're afraid your friends will eat your Beefy Crunch Burrito, press 3

Response: The solution is simple: Watch your back. And always carry a spare BCB somewhere safe. You might also try using a decoy burrito to throw off your BCB-poaching friends.

Option 4

Prompt: If you want unlimited Beefy Crunch Burrito's, press 4

Response: You're not alone. And as long as the BCB is only 99 cents, you're surrounded by opportunities to get one...For instance, flip over a mattress, or a cushion to find some change...Car floors are untapped resources.

Option 5

Prompt: If you've never tried a Beefy Crunch Burrito, press 5

Response: Um, what are you waiting for? We're surprised your friends haven't ostracized you from your group until you've tried it. Grab your keys, some change, and get here fast before anyone realizes you haven't had it yet. PS Don't tell anyone you haven't had it yet. It'll save you from unneeded embarrassment.

Response: Currently all of our Beefy Crunch Burritos are busy satisfying other customers. We recommend visiting your nearest Taco Bell to arrange a one-on-one sit down with a Beefy Crunch Burrito today.

End message – Still on the line? You must be holding a BCB. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to handle the wait...Or you just love hearing the phrase "Beefy Crunch Burrito." [Brief PAUSE]: Beefy Crunch Burrito. You're welcome.

The LTO was originally introduced in December 2010 and was on the menu until May. After its limited-time offering was over, however, customers collaborated to start a Facebook page called "3 million fans to get back the Beefy Crunch Burrito" (3MF).
