Taco Bell offering puts some 'party' into the season

First it was the ultimate Mexican-inspired wedding packages, and now Taco Bell is extending the party to cover all takers during the holiday season with a new pilot dubbed simply "Party by Taco Bell." The party packages are being sold now through Dec. 22 at select locations, offering consumers reserved seating, a Taco Bell party décor kit and other celebratory necessities, a news release said. 

"After introducing 'Taco Bell Weddings' in our Las Vegas Cantina and seeing the huge response - we have had 110 weddings booked there in just over a year - there was a clear need and opportunity to translate this intersection of fun, cool, and accessible entertaining to any kind of occasion," Global Chief Brand Officer Marisa Thalberg, said in the release. "For the most devout Taco Bell fans to those who will just find this kitschy cool, we are about to make it easy to become the perfect postmodern party host."

The new option lets customers reserve a time and place for up to 10 guests via the TacoBellParty.com website When party-goers get to the location, the decorations are ready to go, as well as photo props and party accents in either a "luxe" or "electric" option, depending on the tone of the fete. And there are also add-ons like hot sauce packet balloons, taco sunglasses and gift cards.

The new in-restaurant package goes $25, including the decorations. The packages can also be ordered or through the brand's app, as well as decor kits through the online Taco Shop for the same price.
